  3.    No major changes this time...sorry, folks...
  4.  
  5. Version 2.06 - the following problems were found and corrected.
  6.  
  7.    Some false positives have been fixed, for example if BACKUP.EXE was
  8.    compressed with PKLITE, F-PROT 2.05 would report the "Stanco" virus.
  9.  
  10.    Joke programs, such as BUGSRES.COM no longer increase the "Infected"
  11.    counter.
  12.  
  13.    Version 2.05 did not display the "Scanning memory" box.
  14.  
  15.    Previous versions of the program were sometimes unable to remove the Form
  16.    virus from hard disks.
  17.  
  18. Version 2.06 - minor improvements:
  19.  
  20.    The /RENAME command-line switch was added, but using it is equivalent
  21.    to selecting "Action: Rename" in interactive mode.  It is also possible
  22.    to use /AUTO together with /RENAME
  23.  
  24.    Identification of infected .SYS files has been improved - previously
  25.    they were just reported as "New or modified variant of ...".
  26.  
  27.    The /NOWRAP switch can now be used with interactive mode, and the
  28.    report scrolled horizontally.
  29.  
  30.    The /EXT= command-line switch was added to allow the user to determine
  31.    which file extensions to search.
  32.  
  33.    VIRSTOP did not stop compressed viruses such as Cvirus or Stanco.  This
  34.    has now been added.
  35.  
  36.    The report produced by F-PROT includes the volume label(s) of the
  37.    disk(s) scanned.
  38.  
  39.    If the user presses ESC or Ctrl-C during scanning, the program will
  40.    aks if it should stop scanning.
  41.

  45.    only deleted.  This is because they overwrite infected files, or
  46.    damage them irreversibly.
